Filtered Journal Entries: Wanna' Read Them?

I didn't think I'd ever be using this feature of Livejournal, but I'm thinking of making a filtered-friends list for journal entries that some people who keep me on their "friends" list might not be interested in. I have friends who do this, who call it something like their "sex filter" list, but in my case it's not my sexual activity specifically that I'm wanting to write about (that would be like one of those "world's shortest books" jokes).

What I'm wanting to write about, for example, are some thoughts about what it means to be a gay man who's not particularly dick-obsessed. (Why is that even a topic or concern? Ah, that's the sort of thing I want to write about.) And there's an adventure I had in Australia that I didn't write about (ok, that might fall into the sexual activity category, but not really and that's sort of the point) that I might be more inclined to discuss if I knew the only people reading it were people who expressed an interest in reading it. I guess in general I'm thinking that if I had a filtered-friends list I might feel more free to write about certain topics. Or maybe I just want to be able to use the word "dick" more often.

If you are interested in being on this list, let me know by commenting -- I've screened comments so nobody should be able to see whether you've asked, if that's a concern. (Or you can write me at the email address of my user info page).

There are people who do not have livejournal accounts who read my journal. I doubt you are breathlessly awaiting my insight on such topics as I speak of here, but hey, I'm always happy for an audience. Let me know if you have interest and I'll figure something out.
